Our Toi et Moi Rings are handmade in Turkey using solid sterling silver and encrusted in 2 natural stones, a round African amethyst stone & a turquoise cabuchon from the Sleeping Beauty mines in Arizona - the EXACT mines that Van Cleef & Arpels would source their turquoise from, back in the day. It is set in a Toi-Moi setting symbolises You & Me. This centuries-old ring design dates to 1796, when Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Empress Josephine de Beauharnais with the first 'Toi et Moi' ring. Meaning 'you and me' in French, this classic style comprises two gemstones; sitting side by side on a band to represent the meeting of two lovers.
Amethyst as a purple stone is a natural tranquiliser. It is said to dispel rage, help manage fears and anger, and calm rage and anxiety.
Turquoise promotes self-realisation and assists creative problem solving. It is a symbol of friendship, and stimulates romantic love AND is probably the most beautiful stone out there, in my opinion <3
